Global Insurance Technology began operations in 1980 as the insurance division of "Grupo Integral de Organización" (GIO) in Caracas, Venezuela. In 1994, after years of successful project implementations in several countries in Latin America and Europe, Antonio Guzman, the director of the insurance division at the time, co-founded "Estudios, Aplicaciones y Sistemas Empresariales" (EASE) in partnership with Ricardo Marin. The purpose was to consolidate the achievements of the company as an answer to the new technological challenges of the times and as a means of identifying and developing new business opportunities.

In the year 2000, Global Insurance Technology (GIT) was created and incorporated in Pembroke Pines, Florida - USA, to expand the business operations of EASE into the North American market. EASE continues to be the development center of the company, providing the services for product development and part of the resources for project implementation.

Throughout its history, GIT/EASE has won and successfully executed several projects in different countries gaining a solid customer base in Chile, Argentina, Peru, Mexico, Bolivia, Venezuela, Holland, Spain, Portugal, Canada and the United States.
